Modern Perspectives on Science & Judaism
How they come together to answer some of the deepest mysteries of the universe
with Dr. Binyomin Abrams
Lecture Overview
The scientific discoveries of the past century have transformed the way we see and interact with the world, leading to paradigm shifts in nearly every area of science.
In this talk, Dr. Abrams shows that while Torah and science take different approaches to study the world, their goals and conclusions are complementary.
Not only do Torah and modern scientific concepts not conflict with each other, but they inform upon each other in a very elegant fashion.
Dr. Binyomin Abrams is a Research Associate Professor and Director of General Chemistry in the Chemistry department at Boston University.
He was the recipient of the 2015 Metcalf Award for Excellence in Teaching, and the 2021 Gitner Award for Innovation in Teaching with Technology.
Dr. Abrams lectures extensively on the interplay of science and Judaism, and combines wit and humor to help illuminate difficult and complex topics.
